“Google for Life Science Researchers” – Slideshare

In How to work better, Web 2.0 & all that on January 2, 2009 by Alan Lovell Tagged: , , ,

My first pointer of the year is to a slideshare slide share called “Google for Life Science Researchers: Searching Power* and More (* more of what you want, less of what you don’t)” from U of Michigan libraries which is full of helpful little tips on searching Google, including how to limit your search by filetype, site, URL and all that. Also has a nice collection of sites that you can use for term discovery, synonyms etc.

Very quiet here today after the hols. I’m the only one in the office. I hope I don’t accidently set the alarm off when leaving the building…
